Why get home care?
Home care services are essential, given the present situation. Many nursing homes have had staff shortages and may thus require additional personnel. There are also numerous individuals who have been pulled out of independent or assisted-living facilities and who may have difficulty finding family members who can tend to their needs, be it medical or social (e.g. groceries, conversation). A more dedicated care plan will enable the identification of early symptoms or any changes in the health of these patients, particularly those who are more vulnerable to COVID-19 complications.
Why Likas Nursing?
Likas Nursing has licensed practical nurses and other support workers who (1) are competent in the standard of care and in infection control and prevention measures (e.g. good hygiene, handwashing, and cough etiquette) and (2) can work exclusively in one clinical site, to prevent cross-contamination. In addition, we are able to provide our colleagues with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to safely provide patient care and support.
